About Me

Born in Istanbul, I started drawing at seven years old. For as long as I can remember, I would collect objects from the natural world and bring them home to sketch. I was fascinated by the diverse textures, colours, lights and their relationship with geometry. Over time, I started exploring different materials to express this relationship. This led me to France, where I studied for a Bachelors degree at Parsons School of Design in Paris. In the four years I lived there, I was captivated by the city, spending countless hours drawing, be it Rodin's sculptures, spell-binding cemeteries or gargoyles. I then completed my Masters Degree in Fine Arts Valuation at Nottingham Trent University, Southampton Institute in the UK. I have spent a few years doing valuations in arts and antiques. My current focus is my greatest passion, which is oil paintings, where I try and capture what attracts me to nature, by exploring, how we become part of it, blend into it, live it, be it.
